In a resounding display of Rwanda’s economic prowess, the nation made a remarkable impact at the prestigious Artigiano Fiera RHO Exhibition held in Milan, Italy, from December 2nd to 10th, 2023. The presence of Rwanda at Artigiano in fiera exhibition ,  supported by Rwanda Embassy in France and  Rwanda Development Board (RDB), this international event served as a pivotal platform to showcase the country’s exceptional agribusiness and handicraft products to the world.

This year’s exhibition proved to be an exceptional success, with a notable increase of 30% in visitors, totaling an impressive one million and three hundred  attendees. The event featured 2,500 exhibitors from 86 countries worldwide, emphasizing its status as a global hub for agribusiness and handicraft trade.

Uwera Robinah, the Chief of Delegation and RDB Expo Marketing Analyst, highlighted the diverse range of products presented by Rwanda, including coffee, tea, hibiscus, essential oils, chili, handicrafts, avocados, and French beans. The exhibition garnered significant attention, with guests expressing enthusiasm for Rwandan products and expressing interest in purchasing them post-event.

One of the key highlights was the ongoing discussions between Rwandan exporters and potential buyers, setting the stage for promising business partnerships. The commitment to establishing and strengthening market linkages was evident, with a clear focus on accessing vital market information crucial for expanding Rwandan agribusiness and handicraft exports to the Italian market.

In a delightful turn of events, Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni expressed her plans and desire to visit Rwanda. Her appreciation for Rwandan women-made coffee further underscored the positive reception of the exhibited products. Such high-profile endorsements not only validate the quality of Rwandan products but also open avenues for increased collaboration and trade between Rwanda and Italy.
